Dustin enters the Finnish market when they acquire the IT-reseller Businessforum. Businessforum is Finland’s largest supplier of hardware to the public sector. The company has 64 employees and had sales of 750 MSEK in 2012.
Businessforum’s main focus is sales of hardware. The majority of customers are within the public sector, but customers are also found within medium and large private companies. In connection with the acquisition, Businessforum will be integrated in Dustin’s Nordic group. With the recent acquisitions in Finland and Norway Dustin now has a turnover of around 6 billion SEK.
“The acquisition of Businessforum means that Dustin now is taking a first step into Finland and continues to strengthen its Nordic platform. The long term goal is that we will be fully present in our main segment, the market for small and medium sized businesses, also in Finland. Therefore it feels good to start building from a solid foundation”, says Georgi Ganev, President and CEO of Dustin. Businessforum was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Espoo, just outside Helsinki. In addition, the company also has offices in Vaasa, Jyväskylä, Kajaani and Villmanstrand.
“With Dustin as owner, we can accelerate our development towards becoming the leading IT distributor in Finland. With the common denominator to always put the customer in focus, I am confident, that with the combined forces, we will create many appreciated offers for our customers”, says Kari Lintunen, CEO of Businessforum.
